Starting on August 20, 2018, Halifax Transit will be making a number of changes to transit routes that will affect our tenants. There are a number of route changes, schedule changes and even new routes that you should be aware of. Beginning on Monday, August 20, 2018, new routes will replace the following existing routes:
2, 4, 16, 17, 18, 21, 23, 31, 33, 34, 35, 42, and 52
Note: this includes all routes which service Lacewood Terminal and/or Timberlea (with the exception of Route 89).
Starting Monday, August 20, you’ll have three new corridor routes to choose from (Routes 2, 3, and 4). A corridor route provides a frequent level of service all day along major streets and provides direct connections to terminals.
Starting Monday, August 20, you’ll have four new local routes to choose from (Routes 21, 28, 30, and 39). A local route provides regular, all day service between neighbourhoods and regional destinations.
Residents of Clayton Park! Starting Monday, August 20, you’ll have five new express routes to choose from (Routes 135, 136, 137, and 138) and Timberlea will be served by a new express route (Route 123). An express route provides commuters with a high quality, limited stop transit service during peak periods.
